TVS Motor Company Achieves Record Sales in August 2025, Crosses 5 Lakh Units

TVS Motor Company achieved its highest-ever monthly sales in August 2025, dispatching 509,536 units and registering a strong 30% year-on-year growth over 391,588 units sold in August 2024. With this milestone, TVS Motor Company has crossed the five lakh unit sales mark in a single month for the first time in its history, reinforcing its strong domestic presence and expanding its global footprint.

Two-Wheeler Segment Leads Growth

Total two-wheeler sales rose 30% in August 2025 to 490,788 units, up from 378,841 units a year ago, with domestic sales contributing significantly by growing 28% to 368,862 units from 289,073 units.

  • Motorcycles: 2,21,870 units (up 30% from 1,70,486 units in August 2024)
  • Scooters: 2,22,296 units (up 36% from 1,63,629 units)

Electric Vehicle Sales

TVS registered 25,138 EV sales in August 2025, slightly higher than 24,779 units last year. The company noted that magnet availability continues to remain a challenge in the short to medium term.

International Business

Exports surged, with the company recording 1,35,367 units, up 35% from 99,976 units in August 2024. Two-wheeler exports grew by 36%, reaching 1,21,926 units compared to 89,768 units a year ago.

Three-Wheeler Segment

Three-wheeler sales also witnessed a strong performance, rising 47% to 18,748 units in August 2025, compared to 12,747 units in the same month last year.
