Ather Rizta, 450X and 450S Now Available With Battery Subscriptions, Prices Reduced

After Hero VIDA, Ather Energy has also announced a battery subscription plan (battery-as-a-service) plan for its two-wheelers, including the Rizta, 450S and 450X. With this, the prices of these scooters have been significantly reduced.

Customers can now buy the Ather Rizta with a battery-as-a-service (BaaS) plan starting at Rs 75,999 and the 450 series starting at Rs 84,341 (both ex-showroom, Lucknow). This makes the Rizta Rs 24,000 more affordable than before, and the Ather 450S is now cheaper by Rs 35,500.

Under the BaaS scheme, customers pay only the price of the scooter (without battery), while the battery comes with flexible monthly fees, depending on the usage.

The brand says that the battery subscription plans will start from Rs 1 per kilometre for a 4-year tenure that includes a minimum monthly usage of 1000 kilometres. This minimises the upfront cost of the Ather Rizta by around 30%.

In addition, the EV maker now offers an Extended Comprehensive Warranty (ECW) for manufacturing defects on the battery and 11 other critical electrical components for up to 5 years/60,000 km (whichever comes first).
