Hero MotoCorp Sale 5.54 Lakh Units in August 2025, Records 8% Growth

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, reported dispatches of 553,727 motorcycles and scooters in August 2025, marking an 8% year-on-year growth compared to 512,360 units in August 2024.

According to VAHAN* data, the company registered 3.44 lakh units, reflecting steady demand across both urban and rural markets. While the monsoon season had a predictable impact on retail sales, Hero MotoCorp expects a positive revival in the upcoming months, especially with the festive season approaching.

  • Motorcycles: 5,01,523 units vs 4,78,215 units
  • Scooters: 52,204 units vs 34,145 units
  • Total: 5,53,727 units vs 5,12,360 units
  • Domestic: 5,19,139 units vs 4,92,263 units
  • Exports: 34,588 units vs 20,097 units

VIDA Continues Momentum

The company’s EV brand, VIDA, maintained its strong growth trajectory with 12,275 unit dispatches and 13,313 registrations in August, contributing to consistent market share gains both monthly and year-to-date.

Global Business & Market Outlook

Hero’s international operations also performed strongly, with exports touching 34,588 units, up from 20,097 units in August 2024, delivering over 40% growth year-to-date. The company anticipates improved market sentiment driven by favourable monsoons, rising agricultural demand, and the expected boost in consumption due to upcoming GST reforms.

Hero Glamour X 125 price

Product Performance & New Launches

Scooters continued to be a growth driver, with dispatches rising to 52,204 units in August 2025 from 34,145 units last year. Hero claims that their recent offerings, including the Xoom 125 and Destini 125, are seeing strong traction.

The month also witnessed the launch of the all-new Glamour X 125, positioned as India’s most futuristic 125cc motorcycle. With over 8 million satisfied customers in the Glamour family, the new model debuts several category-first innovations. Available in two variants—Drum (₹89,999) and Disc (₹99,999), ex-showroom Delhi—it is expected to redefine the deluxe 125cc segment.
