Isuzu D-Max V-Cross and mu-X Receive New Infotainment; Prices Increased

Isuzu has updated its D-Max V-Cross lifestyle pickup truck and mu-X SUV with a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that also features Apple Carplay and Android Auto. These smartphone integration features were missing in their earlier 7-inch touchscreen units. 

Apart from upgrading the infotainment unit, Isuzu has also revised the prices of the V-Cross by Rs 1.41 lakh, while the MU-X has become costlier by Rs 2.56 lakh. Here are the variant-wise new ex-showroom prices: –

For those who aren’t aware, both Isuzu V-Cross and mu-X were updated to BS6-compliant norms in May last year. That said, both these utility vehicles are powered by the same 163PS/360Nm 1.9-liter turbocharged diesel engine, mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Interestingly, the pickup truck also gets an optional 6-speed manual gearbox.

Isuzu V-Cross vs MUX

Features onboard include bi-LED projector headlights, keyless entry with push-button engine start-stop, touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-speaker surround sound system, powered driver’s seat, cruise control, automatic climate control, shift-on-the-fly 4WD mode, up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX anchorages, brake override system, electronic stability control, hill descent assist, traction control, rear parking sensors and, a rear view camera.

While the V-Cross rivals the recently launched Toyota Hilux, the mu-X takes on the likes of Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Mahindra Alturas G4, and Skoda Kodiaq.
