Deliveries of the new Toyota pickup will begin in April. However, its bookings are yet to resume.

For those who aren’t aware, Toyota revealed the Hilux in January this year. It comes in a sole double-cab body style, and shares its underpinnings with the Toyota Innova Crysta and Fortuner.

Dimensionally, it is 5,3255mm long, 1,855mm wide, 1,815mm tall, and has a wheelbase and ground clearance of 3,085mm and 216mm, respectively. Besides, it boasts an approach angle of 29 degrees, a departure angle of 26 degrees, and has a water wading capacity of 700mm. Click here for more details.

Powering the Hilux is the Fortuner’s 204PS 2.8-litre diesel engine that transmits the power to all four wheels via either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, assisted by a low-range transfer case, Auto Limited Slip Differential (A-LSD), and front & rear electronic differential locks. It also gets Active Traction Control (ATC), and Tyre Angle Monitor System to make it more off-road competent.
