Bookings Open For Mahindra XUV400 For Rs 21,000

On the occasion of India’s 74th Republic day, Mahindra has started accepting bookings for the XUV400 electric SUV at authorised dealerships and online for a token amount of Rs 21,000. The EV is now also available for test drives.

For those who aren’t aware, the Mahindra XUV400 comes in two variants: EC and EL, with prices ranging from Rs 15.99 lakh and Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom). However, it is worth noting that these are introductory prices, limited to just 5,000 units of each variant.

Save for some minor cosmetic differences and a length of about 4.2 meters, Mahindra XUV400 looks largely similar to the XUV300, such as closed-off fascia, redesigned taillamp and contrasting copper-coloured elements to denote its electric nature.

The cabin design of the XUV400 is again similar to the likes of the XUV300, except for the all-black cabin theme with some copper highlights. In terms of features, the EV gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, connected car technology, an electric sunroof, up to six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), cornering brake control, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and a rearview camera. Mahindra offers the XUV400 with two battery pack options: 34.5kWh and 39.4kWh, claiming an MIDC-claimed range of 375km and 456km, respectively. Regardless of the battery pack, the electric SUV gets a front-axle-mounted electric motor rated at 150PS, allowing it to complete the 0-100kmph sprint in 8.3 seconds. It has a top speed of 150 kmph.
