  • Maruti Suzuki has regained most of the places in the top 10 selling chart in the month of October 2021, with their four models (Alto, Baleno, Ertiga, and WagonR) claiming the top 4 positions. All of these Maruti cars registered positive month-on-month growth, but their sales were weaker as compared to the same month last year (except for the Ertiga).

  • Hyundai's sub-4m SUV, the Venue, took the fifth spot on the sales table. Its MoM figure witnessed a positive growth of around 33 percent, helping it to become the best-selling SUV in October 2021.

  • Six on the list is Kia Seltos, which dropped from the third spot when compared to the last month, despite gaining positive MoM and YoY figures.

  • Maruti’s primary people mover, the Eeco, has secured the seventh position. However, its Year-on-Year sales dropped by nearly 23 percent.

  • The Tata Nexon acquired the eighth rank on October 2021 sales chart. Its YoY figure raised by around 47 percent.

  • Maruti’s all-time popular mid-size hatchback, the Swift, took the ninth spot on the sales table. It recorded the highest MoM growth among all.

  • The last place was taken by the recently launched Tata Punch as the carmaker dispatched 8,453 units of the micro-SUV in October 2021.

  • Overall, the total sales figure of the top 10 cars sold in October stood at 1,17,311 units.
