Tata Tiago EV specs and range

The all-new Tata Tiago EV derives kinetic energy from a permanent magnet synchronous motor that comes mated to a single-speed automatic transmission. Backed by a IP67 rated 24kWh li-ion battery pack, it offers a claimed range of 315 kilometers on a single charge. It also gets a smaller battery pack option of 19.2kWh, which is good in offering a 250 km range. The brand offers an 8-year/1.60 lakh km warranty on both battery packs and motors.

The electrified Tiago features two drive modes (City and Sport) and multi-level regen braking. Tata has claimed that the Tiago EV can complete the 0-60 kmph sprint in just 5.7 seconds.

Talking about the charging capabilities, the Tata Tiago EV can be juiced up from 10 percent to the 80 percent mark through a 50kW DC fast charger in just 57 mins, while a 7.2kW AC home fast charger will take around 3 hours 36 mins to fully charge the battery. There is even a way to energize it via a 15A socket, but you will have to leave it plugged in overnight.

Design, Color Options, and Features

Design-wise, the Tiago EV looks largely similar to its ICE counterpart, save for some minor cosmetic changes in the form of a new closed-off grille & air dam, differently styled 14-inch hyper style wheels, and blue accents both inside and out of the hatch.
