Upcoming Tata Cars In India In FY2027 – What To Expect?

  • While Tata is yet to share model-specific details, we expect these to include the Sierra EV, Safari EV, and facelifted versions of the ICE and EV iterations of the Tiago and Tigor.
  • Although it is not official, we expect the Sierra EV to be the first model among all models to arrive in the market, probably in Q2 of FY2027 (July to Sept). It will be positioned between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in Tata’s electric lineup. And similar to other Tata EVs, the Sierra is also expected to be offered with two battery pack options (probably 55kWh and 65kWh), along with both RWD and AWD setups.

  • The flagship Safari EV is also in the works and expected to launch around the festive season this year. It will be Tata’s first three-row electric offering, likely available in both 6- and 7-seater configurations. Battery options are expected to be carried forward from the Harrier EV (65kWh and 75kWh). Once launched, it will go up against the Mahindra XEV 9S.
  • As far as the facelift models are concerned, these could include upgraded versions of ICE and electric iterations of the Tiago and Tigor. Both of these offerings will undergo significant design changes, especially at the front end. As per reports, the electric counterparts of both models are likely to get larger battery packs. They could also feature the brand’s new 6-in-1 drivetrain that recently debuted with the Punch EV facelift.
