Toyota has launched the 2026 Fortuner Leader Edition at Rs 36.51 lakh for the manual and Rs 38.72 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom) for the automatic version. Based on the 4×2 variant, the SUV boasts a host of visual changes to enhance the overall appeal of the SUV. Its bookings will start on October 12, 2026.

For those unaware, Toyota introduced Fortuner Leader Editions in both 2024 and 2025, although these were offered as dealer-level options.

Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition – What’s Special?

Compared to the regular Toyota Fortuner, the 2026 Leader Edition receives a host of visual enhancements to boost the overall appeal of the SUV. These include a new blacked-out front grille design, a more aggressive-looking bumper with black & silver trims, and TOYOTA lettering on the bonnet. The SUV also gets blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out roof & side mirrors, and a black trim on the tailgate.

Inside, it features a dual-tone black and maroon upholstery and door trims, along with ambient lighting and illuminated door sills, which uplifts the overall cabin feel. Additionally, it also receives auto-folding side mirrors and a tyre pressure monitoring system over the standard model.

Colour Options

The Leader Edition is offered in three body shades – Super White, Platinum White Pearl and Attitude Black.

Powertrain Details

Underneath the bonnet, the 2026 Fortuner Leader Edition gets the same 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder, diesel engine, which produces a peak output of 204PS and up to 500Nm with the 6-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox, while the 6-speed manual transmission variant offers 204PS grunt and 420Nm torque.

As mentioned earlier, the new Fortuner Leader Edition is only available with a 4×2 rear-wheel drivetrain.

The Toyota Fortuner locks horns with the MG Majestor, Jeep Meridian and petrol-only Skoda Kodiaq.
