Royal Enfield has recently unveiled the Shotgun 650. It is a retro-modern bobber-style motorcycle that shares its underpinnings with the Super Meteor 650. While the two motorcycles have certain similarities, they retain distinctive traits that set them apart.
Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 vs Super Meteor: What’s The Difference?
Design
Starting with the visual appearance, both motorcycles have a distinctive front facia. The Shotgun 650 features a headlamp cowl with indicators positioned slightly ahead of the forks, while the Super Meteor gets a conventional round headlamp unit with a brushed metal finish and indicators placed on the forks.
Moving forward, both motorcycles have different designs for their fuel tanks. Furthermore, the Super Meteor 650 gets a conventional cruiser handlebar with forward-set footpegs, while the Shotgun 650 comes with a relatively flat handlebar and mid-set footpegs, offering an upright riding position with a slight lean.
Speaking of the seating setup, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 gets a single seat to complement its bobber personality, along with an option to mount an additional pillion seat or a luggage rack. In contrast, the Super Meteor 650 comes with a split seat setup in lower variants and a single-piece contour seat in higher trims.
Towards the rear, the Shotgun 650 boasts matte-finished blacked-out twin peashooter exhausts, while the Super Meteor features twin barrel exhausts with chrome finishing.
