MG ZS EV Reaches Record Sales In June 2024

MG’s electric SUV, the ZS EV, recorded retail sales of 1861 units last month, marking its highest-ever monthly sales since its launch in the Indian market in 2020. The MG ZS EV accounted for approximately 40% of the total sales, which amounted to 4,644 units in June 2024.

Currently, MG Motor has five models in its Indian lineup – Comet EV, Hector, Hector Plus, ZS EV and Gloster. The latter is expected to receive a facelift update soon.

Speaking of the MG ZS EV, it is available in five broad variants: Executive, Excite Pro, Exclusive Plus, Essence, and a limited-run 100-Year Limited Edition, priced between Rs 18.98 lakh to Rs 25.44 lakh (ex-showroom). It uses a 50.3kWh battery pack mated to a front-axle mounted electric motor, making 177PS and 280Nm. It offers a claimed range of 461 kilometres.

The MG ZS EV takes on the BYD Atto 3 and Hyundai Kona Electric in the electric SUV segment. It can also be considered a premium alternative to the Mahindra XUV400 and Tata Nexon EV.
