Kia Retails 21,300 Units In June 2024, Records 9.8% Growth

Kia India registered sales of 21,300 units in June 2024, witnessing 9.8% year-on-year growth compared to the 19,391 units sold in the same month last year.

According to the brand, the Sonet sub-4m SUV, which received a facelift update earlier this year, has emerged as Kia’s best-selling model for the month of June 2024. The carmaker sold 9,816 units of the Sonet last month.

The month of June marked the completion of the first half of the year, and the Korean automaker recorded 1,26,137 units of sales in H1 2024, reflecting a 6% growth over the previous half-year. And, once again, the Kia Sonet contributed the highest to the company’s H1 sales, followed closely by Seltos and Carens, with contributions of 32% and 25%, respectively.

Commenting on the June sales figures, Mr Hardeep Singh Brar – Senior Vice President and National Head Sales & Marketing said, “We have observed a healthy month-on-month sales growth in H1 2024, averaging over 21,000 units per month. Our superior product offerings have consistently attracted customers to our showrooms throughout the year, maintaining a strong sales position. We are committed to sustaining this positive trend for the remainder of the year through network expansion and by adding value to our customers’ aspirations.”

In other news, Kia India recently crossed a 2.5 lakh sales milestone to over 100 countries from its Anantapur plant.
