Mahindra To Debut These SUV Concepts on August 15

Mahindra has just dropped fresh teasers for four upcoming SUV concepts — Vision.T, Vision.S, Vision.SXT, and Vision.X — all set to be unveiled at the brand’s much-anticipated Freedom NU event in Mumbai on August 15, 2025.

Each concept previews Mahindra’s future direction in SUV design and electrification, offering a mix of off-road toughness and urban appeal. Here’s what we know so far: –

Vision.T – Electrified Thar

The Vision.T is expected to be the evolved version of the Thar.e concept showcased back in 2023. From the teaser, it retains signature off-road elements like: –

  • A boxy silhouette
  • Squared wheel arches
  • Chunky tyres
  • Prominent bonnet latches

This could be Mahindra’s near-production electric Thar, likely featuring a dual-motor AWD setup. A production-ready version might be revealed in 2026, with prices estimated at around Rs 20 lakh.

Vision.S

Vision.S – A Future Scorpio

The Vision.S appears to hint at the next-gen Scorpio, possibly with an electric or hybrid powertrain. Teaser visuals show a bold, upright stance with a wide grille and muscular design cues.

Expected to be built on the upcoming Freedom NU architecture, it could feature the off-road DNA of the current Scorpio in a modern avatar.

We expect it to hit the market next year, with pricing possibly between Rs 30-35 lakh (ex-showroom).

Vision.SX

Vision.SXT – Likely A Rugged Pickup

The Vision.SXT seems geared toward heavy-duty usage. It could be a pickup version of the Scorpio. Expect it to share its underpinnings with the Vision.S-based model.

Vision.X

Vision.X – A Premium, Urban SUV

In contrast to the rugged trio, the Vision.X seems carrying a more urban-friendly appearance, likely targeted at families and city users who prioritise comfort and practicality for everyday usage. The smooth body lines and modern profile indicate a premium SUV, possibly an electric model under the XUV badge.

A New Platform Incoming

Alongside these four concepts, Mahindra is also expected to unveil its new flexible architecture that will support various types of body styles and platforms, including ICE, hybrid and electric.

This new platform is expected to be produced at the brand’s new Chakan facility near Pune.
