Clear Look At The Mahindra Thar 5-Door Dashboard In Leaked Images

Mahindra is anticipated to launch the much-awaited Thar 5 door, which is likely to be called Thar Armada, on the upcoming Independence Day. While we already have much information about the forthcoming extended Thar, we now get a clearer look at its interior.

XUV400-inspired Infotainment

The interior of the Thar 5 door is largely similar to its 3-door counterpart. However, the dashboard has been slightly reworked to accommodate the larger 10.25-inch floating Adrenox-powered infotainment system from the XUV400. It might also receive a fully digital instrument cluster.

Details We Already Know

Previously leaked images also hinted at a dual-tone interior scheme. However, this latest spy shot reveals an all-black theme. This suggests that the Thar 5-door might offer both single and dual-tone options, depending on the variant.

The longer Thar will not only offer two interior schemes but is also anticipated to provide both single-pane and dual-pane electric sunroof options. Additionally, features such as a dash camera, front & rear centre armrests, dual-zone climate control function, rear AC vents, six airbags, 360-degree camera, front & rear parking sensors and some ADAS technologies are expected to be included.

Propulsion Duties

The Mahindra Thar Armada (5-door) is likely to be offered with the same 2-litre turbocharged petrol and 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engines as its small counterpart, albeit in a higher state of power tune. Both motors are anticipated to get manual and automatic transmission choices, with the choice of both RWD and 4WD drivetrains.

Expected Price and Rivals

We believe the Mahindra Thar 5-door could be priced from approximately Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it as a premium alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and Force Gurkha.
