Mahindra Thar OG ZXT Variant: What Does The Top Variant Offer?

Mahindra has recently launched the new Thar OG facelifted model in three variants, with the ZXT sitting at the top of the variant lineup. Positioned as the most feature-rich version, it gets several additional conveniences, safety, and feel-good features over the other two variants, namely AXT and LXT. But what exactly does the Thar OG ZXT variant bring to the table, and does it justify the hefty price premium it commands over the other variants? Let’s find out.

Author’s Take

The new Thar OG fixes almost all the shortcomings of the 3-door Thar, and combining it with the loaded ZXT variant makes the SUV a more desirable option for those looking for a purpose-built SUV that has now become a slightly more family-friendly offering for a complete experience. It gets all the engine & gearbox options offered with the SUV, along with added safety, convenience, and styling. However, the lack of a 360-degree camera, a premium sound system, and a sunroof could be a major miss for some buyers.
