Speaking on the โ6eโ trademark controversy with the Indigo, Mahindra has now officially commented on the matter. The brand stated that it has applied for trade mark registration under class 12 (vehicles) for โBE 6eโ a part of its electric-origin SUV portfolio. Mahindra clarified that it doesnโt foresee any conflict as Mahindraโs mark is โBE 6e,โ not the standalone โ6E.โ It differs fundamentally from Indigoโs โ6E,โ which represents an airline, thereby eliminating any risk of confusion. The company also highlighted that the distinct styling of the BE 6e SUV further emphasizes their uniqueness.
โWe have taken on board the concerns that InterGlobe Aviation Limited has to infringement of their goodwill, which was not our intention. We are engaged in discussions with them to find an amicable solution.โ Mahindra added.
