JSW Motors To Open 4 Experience Centres Before First Car Launch

0

JSW Motors is gearing up to launch its first independent model in the Indian market, based on the Jetour T2 SUV, around the festive season. But ahead of that, the brand is planning to set up four experience centres across key metro cities, including Mumbai, New Delhi and Ahmedabad.

These experience centres will be owned and operated by JSW Motors. Besides, the brand has also started inviting proposals from potential dealer partners to set up its sales & service footprint in India. JSW is also reported to show the first set of products to its potential dealers around the beginning of H2 2026. These will include the Jetour T2, along with various products from Chery Automobile, including the iCar V23 electric vehicle, which is likely to be the brand’s second offering in the country. However, all of them will be wearing the JSW badge.

For those unaware, the Jetour is a car brand under Chery Automobiles, a Chinese automobile giant, which has its presence in China, Middle East, South America, and Southeast Asia.

First JSW Model To Be A Hybrid SUV

As we have reported multiple times, the first JSW model will be a plug-in-hybrid SUV, based on the Jetour T2. It is known for its Land Rover Defender-like styling and feature-heavy interiors.

Measuring around 4.7 meters in length, the SUV is expected to use a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, paired with a 26.7kWh battery pack and dual-motor setup. Its combined output stands at 381PS and 610Nm, channelled to the wheels by a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission. It is claimed to have an all-electric range of around 140km, with a combined full tank range of over 1,000 km.

JSW is reported to launch this vehicle via the CKD route, with its assembly to be done at its state-of-the-art facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.
