Bajaj Dominar 250 Prices Slashed By Up To Rs 16,000

While most automakers are increasing the prices of their products in the month of July, Bajaj Auto, in a surprising move, has slashed the prices of its Dominar 250 naked tourer by over Rs 16,000. Though the brand has not shared any reason for the price reduction, it is clear that it has done so because of its low demand in the market. Here’s a look at its new ex-showroom Delhi price: –

Bajaj Dominar 250

Rs 1,70,720

Rs 1,54,156

-Rs 16,564

With this, the Dominar 250 now undercuts the Pulsar RS200 by Rs 8,269 (ex-showroom). Also, the price gap between the Dominar 250 and Suzuki Gixxer 250 (Rs 1.67 lakh) has gone up by around Rs 13,000. But despite the dip in price, the Dominar 250 is still more expensive than the Yamaha FZ 25 (Rs 1.35 lakh) and FZ-S 25 (Rs 1.39 lakh) as the Japanese maker also decreased the prices of the FZ 25 duo by almost Rs 19,300 last month.

Although the price difference between these two offerings is still around Rs 20,000, for the extra cost of the Dominar 250, you get an all-LED lighting system, premium underpinnings, and a more powerful engine equipped with a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper-clutch that makes it better than the FZ 25 duo.

Besides the reduction in Dominar's prices, no other changes have been made to the motorcycle. It continues to be powered by the same 248.8cc, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine as the previous model that generates 27PS and 23.5Nm. Bajaj claims that the Dominar 250 has a top speed of 132kmph and its 0-100kmph sprint time is 10.5 seconds.

The motorcycle is based on the perimeter frame, suspended on 37mm USD front forks and gas-charged preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 100/80 and 110/70 section tires at the front and rear respectively, with braking duties are taken care of by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
