The variant lineup of the Bajaj Chetak has been expanded with the introduction of the new “Chetak 2901”, priced at Rs 95,998 (ex-showroom Bengaluru, including EMPS subsidy). At this price point, it is the most affordable Chetak scooter, which undercuts the Chetak Urbane and Premium variants by Rs 27,321 and Rs 51,245, respectively.
The Bajaj Chetak 2901 will start reaching dealerships from June 15, 2024 onwards.
Bajaj Chetak 2901 – All You Need To Know About
Visually, the new Chetak 2901 looks similar to the Chetak Urbane model, featuring the same circular LED cluster and steel body. However, what sets it apart from other models is the battery pack. Compared to the Chetak Urbane and Premium scooters which get 2.9kWh and 3.2kWh batteries, the new Chetak 2901 comes equipped with a 2.88kWh battery pack that claims an ARAI range of 123km and a top speed of 63 kmph. It takes roughly 6 hours to charge the scooter from 0 to 100%.
The underpinnings of this new scooter comprise a trailing link suspension on the front and a monoshock at the rear, both suspended on 12-inch wheels. Compared to the other Chetak variants, it only gets a drum brake on both ends.
Regarding features, the scooter gets an LCD instrument cluster and an economy riding mode. There’s also the optional TecPac available at Rs 3,000, which further enables features like hill hold, reverse assist, geofencing, Sport riding mode, call/music control, follow-me-headlamps, and Bluetooth app connectivity. The TecPac comes with 5-years of validity.

Colour Options
Bajaj has offered it in five colour options – Azure Blue, Racing Red, Lime Yellow, Cyber White and Ebony Black. Except for the White, all the other four hues are new.
