Suzuki Burgman Rival Aprilia SXR125 Maxi Scooter Launched At Rs 1.14 Lakh

Expanding its footprints in the Indian market, Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Aprilia has launched its new SXR 125 maxi-styled scooter at Rs 1.14 lakh (ex-showroom Pune). At this price point, it is Rs 11,000 more affordable than its elder sibling SXR160. However, compared to its core rival, Suzuki Burgman Street (Rs 82,700 to Rs 86,200), the scooter demands approximately Rs 30,000 extra. For this added premium, you will get a more powerful engine and a more appealing layout.

The design of the Aprilia SXR125 is similar to the SXR160. This means, from the sharp front fairing to wrap-around LED taillamps, it looks identical to the elder SXR160. The other design highlights include Aprilia RS660-inspired twin crystal LED headlamps, black windscreen, wide handlebars, 5-spoke Y-shaped metallic grey alloy wheels, chrome-finished exhaust, and integrated rear blinkers in taillamp.

The scooter is also available with an optional Bluetooth connectivity function which will allow the riders to connect their smartphone with the scooter and access connected features like vehicle tracking, raise alarm & service concerns along with several other features.

Aprilia SXR125 – Colors

Similar to the Aprilia SXR 160, the SXR 125 is also available in four color schemes- Matt Black, Matt Blue, Glossy Red, and Glossy White.

Aprilia SXR125 – Engine

Powering the Aprilia SXR 125 is the same 124.45cc 3-valve, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that also does duty for the Aprilia SR125. Paired with a CVT transmission, the engine produces 9.52PS of max power at 7600rpm and 9.2Nm of peak torque at 6250rpm.
