In other news, the Kia Carens has recorded 7,738 bookings on the very first day of the commencement of its reservations, the highest-ever single-day bookings for the Korean carmaker in our country. It will be available in both 6-and 7-seats layouts. However, the former configuration will be exclusive for the top-spec Luxury Plus variant.

The Kia Carens will get three engine options: 115PS 1.5-liter petrol and diesel and a 140PS 1.4-litre turbo-petrol. While all will get a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, the automatic transmission option will be restricted to the diesel (6-speed torque converter) and turbocharged gasoline (7-speed dual-clutch) mills.
