Sharing its underpinnings with the Seltos SUV, the Carnes has a more MPV-like stance and lacks the aggressiveness of an SUV. It debuts the brand’s global ‘Opposites United’ design language in India, featuring Kia’s latest iteration of the tiger-nose grille up front, flanked by Y-shaped LED daytime running lamps with a split headlamp setup underneath. The Recreational Vehicle (RV) also gets body cladding all around the car, giving it a slightly rugged appearance.
The other notable design elements of the car include a tapering roofline, an upright tailgate section with connected LED tail lamps, and silver skid plates, boosting its overall credentials.
Dimension-wise, the Kia Carens is 4,540mm long and has a segment’s largest wheelbase of 2,780mm. Here’s how its fares against its sibling rival, the Hyundai Alcazar: –

Features onboard include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital driver’s display, connected car tech, in-built air purifier, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, 64-colour ambient lighting, auto climate control with roof-mounted rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof, etc.
