2021 Tata Safari – Price Expectations

Tata Motors has recently unveiled the all-new Safari SUV, which will be the upcoming flagship product of the homegrown maker in the Indian market. Pre-launch bookings of the 2021 Safari will commence from 4th February 2021, followed by its launch later in the coming weeks. Though we all know that the new Safari is based on the Harrier SUV, it gets a slightly tweaked design, better features, and apparently the third row of seats for extra practicality.

The 2021 Safari will be powered by the same 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine as its 5-seater counterpart. First, take a look at the specification table for the finer details: –

With the modern Safari, you will get six variant options to choose from – XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ, and XZ+. The XM, XZ, and XZ+ trims will also get the choice of two-pedal convenience. In our opinion, the introductory prices of the new Tata Safari are likely to start from Rs 14.4 lakh for the entry-level XE variant and go up to Rs 21.3 for the fully-loaded 6-seater XZA+ trim. These prices are expected to rise a few months after the launch.

In the 7-seater SUV segment, the 2021 Tata Safari will take on the likes of MG Hector Plus (Rs 13.34 lakh to Rs 19.32 lakh), Mahindra XUV500 (Rs 13.83 lakh to Rs 19.56 lakh), and the upcoming 7-seater Hyundai Creta.
