Kia India has launched the updated Sonet at a starting price of Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Similar to the 2021 Seltos, the Sonet also gets new features, and a variant rejig. Let's take a look at the revised variant list with their prices: –

As the above table indicates, the brand has introduced new HTX automatic and DCT variants for the replacement of discontinued HTK+ petrol-DCT and diesel-automatic variants. Besides, the prices of all the other variants have also been increased by up to Rs 30,000 except for the base-spec HTE 1.2-litre petrol trim. For this price premium, the brand has introduced some new features for the selected variants. Here are the details: –
- The new Kia logo will be seen on the updated Sonet.
- Safety features like electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assists, brake assist, and vehicle stability control (VSC) will now come standard from HTX trim onwards.
- The brand has also made sunroof-equipped trim more accessible for customers by providing this feature in the HTK+ Petrol-iMT variant. Besides, its turbocharged petrol and diesel models have also received features like a smart key with a remote engine start function and push engine start/stop button. Earlier, these features were available from the HTX variant onwards.
- The HTK+ 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol model has also got a keyless entry feature.
- The HTX variant will now come with 16-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels. Other updates for this trim include sunshades, and multiple driving & traction modes (only with HTX turbo-DCT & HTX diesel AT).
- Like the Seltos, Kia has also introduced paddle shifters (only for HTX and GTX+ DCT/automatic variants) and updated UVO connected technology that gets a host of new voice commands.
- The mid-spec HTK+ and HTX variants also get the wireless projection of apple carplay and android auto.
There are no mechanical changes have been made to the Sonet. It continues to be available with the same powertrain options: –
