Yamaha Issues Recall For Over 3 Lakh Fascino 125 And RayZR 125 Scooters

Yamaha has issued a voluntary recall for over 3 lakh units of its two 125cc scooters – the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid and RayZR 125, over a potential brake lever function problem. As the manufacturer, the affected units were manufactured between January 2022 and January 2024. This marks the brand’s largest recall ever in India since the implementation of SIAM’s Voluntary Code of Vehicle Recall in July 2012.

While Yamaha hasn’t provided a deeper insight into the potential malfunction, it has advised its customers to repair this defect at the earliest in these scooters. For that, customers can visit Yamaha Motor India’s official website to find out if their scooter is also part of the recall campaign. To check that, customers will be required to enter the scooter’s chassis number. Alternatively, they can contact their nearest Yamaha service centre or call 1800 420 1600 between 9:30 am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday.

The affected part will be replaced free of cost as part of the brand’s commitment to ensuring the safety and satisfaction of its customers.
