Kawasaki Ninja 500 Teased; Launch Soon

First showcased at the EICMA 2023, the Kawasaki Ninja 500 has now been teased in India ahead of its imminent launch in the coming weeks.

Powertrain

Powering this new Kawasaki Ninja is a 451cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine generating a max power of 45.4PS at 9,000 rpm, along with a peak torque of 42.6Nm at 6,000 rpm. The ride is sent to the wheels via a 6-speed gearbox with assist & slipper clutch.

Underpinnings, Dimensions and Features

Based on the high-tensile steel trellis frame, the Ninja 500 uses a non-adjustable telescopic fork with 41mm diameter fork legs and gas charged rear shock absorbers with preload adjustability. Braking duties are taken care of by a 310mm diameter semi-floating disc upfront at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear, both clamped by dual-piston calipers, assisted by two-channel ABS as standard.

Against the measuring tape, the bike posses a wheelbase of 1375mm, along with a ground clearance of 145mm and a seat height of 785mm. It has a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres and a kerb weight of 171 kg.

Regarding features, the bike comes equipped with following electronics:-

  • Keyless ignition
  • Twin LED headlamps
  • 5-inch TFT display
  • Smartphone connectivity support via RIDEOLOGY THE APP, enabling various instrument functions, including riding logs and call/notification alerts.

Competitors

On its arrival, the new Kawasaki Ninja 500 will face competition from the Aprilia RS 457.
