Volkswagen Tayron R Line Launched At Rs 46.99 Lakh

The Volkswagen Tayron R Line has finally made its way to the Indian market via the CBU route. The full-size 7-seater SUV is available in a single, fully loaded variant, priced at Rs 46.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is essentially an elongated version of the VW Tiguan with slightly revised design cues that make it stand apart from its 5-door version.

Same Engine As The Tiguan

At the heart of the Tayron R Line is a 2-litre, 4-cylinder, TSI petrol engine, which is tuned to generate a maximum power output of 204PS and a peak torque of 320Nm. The power is sent to all the wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and 4Motion all-wheel-drive system.

VW claims the Tayron R-Line can complete the 0 to 100 kmph run in just 7.3 seconds before attaining an electronically limited top speed of 224 kmph.

However, there are some differentiating elements, such as redesigned Matrix LED headlights connected by a sleek LED light bar that forms a new visual centrepiece. The LED tail lamps have also been revised, and both the front and rear now feature illuminated Volkswagen logos for a more premium look. It also benefits from a 109mm longer wheelbase, enhancing cabin space and practicality.
