TVS Recalls iQube E-Scooter To Inspect Chassis Bridge Tube

TVS has issued a recall for the iQube electric scooter, manufactured between July 10, 2023, and September 9, 2023, to carry out a thorough inspection of the chassis bridge tube. This action has been taken after the viral social media post of chassis breakdown experienced by a customer during normal usage. Nevertheless, TVS has not explained the potential issue linked to the bridge tube on the impacted models.

TVS assures that complete inspections of the bridge tube units will be conducted to maintain the vehicle’s ride and handling integrity over prolonged usage. And if required, rectifications will be carried out at no expense to the customers.

For those unaware, the TVS iQube is one of the best-selling electric scooters in India. It has recently crossed the 3 lakh sales milestone. Currently, it is available in a total of five variants, including the recently launched entry-level variant with a 2.2kWh battery and a new 3.4kWh ST variant. Click here for more details.
