TVS has launched a new Single Channel ABS variant of Apache RTR 200 4V at Rs 1,23,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). It is Rs 5,000 cheaper than the Dual Channel ABS variant.
TVS Apache RTR 200 4V: Features
Apart from the variation in the ABS unit, there are no other changes have been made. The new Single Channel ABS variant gets the same powertrain, features, and underpinnings like the dual-channel ABS variant.
It features an all-LED lighting system, fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth based smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation assist, split seat setup, and Glide-Through Technology (GTT), which is basically a creep function that allows the bike to move ahead at low-speed without twisting the throttle.
Engine
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is powered by a BS6-compliant, 197.75cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected (FI), air-cooled (with an oil-cooler) engine that churns out 20.50PS at 8500rpm and 16.8Nm at 7500rpm. The SI motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.

Underpinnings
The suspension setup comprises a conventional telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The front brake is a 270mm petal-type disc whereas the rear is a 240mm petal disc.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has badly affected the buying capabilities of customers and having a personal vehicle is the need of the hour. Hence, launching a new variant at a lesser price tag is a good move by TVS.
