Triumph Motorcycles launched the Speed 400 in July 2023 at an introductory price of Rs 2.23 lakh, which was comprising a discount of Rs 10,000 on its original price tag of Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom). The bikemaker has now extended this discount of Rs 10,000 until the end of December 2023. The Scrambler 400X, however, will continue to be offered at Rs 2.63 lakh (ex-showroom).

Triumph Speed 400 – Quick Overview
- Based on a hybrid spine/perimeter, tubular steel frame with a bolt-on rear subframe.
- 43mm upside-down forks up front | pre-load adjustment gas monoshock at the rear.
- 398.15cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine | 6-speed transmission with a slip-&-assist clutch.
- 40PS of max power at 8,000 rpm and 37.5Nm of peak twist at 6,500 rpm.
- It has a service interval of 16,000 kms.
- An all-LED lighting system, ride-by-wire technology, a switchable traction control system, dual-channel ABS, a C-type USB charging port, and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
- It misses out on the smartphone connectivity support.
- Faces competition from the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R, Honda CB300R, and the Zontes GK350.
