Toyota Glanza Prices Increased By Rs 12,000

Last month, the Toyota Glanza was updated with six airbags as standard fitment across its variant lineup. This safety enhancement was introduced without any price increment. However, the honeymoon period has now ended as the Japanese carmaker has announced a price hike of up to Rs 12,000. Here’s a look at its variant-wise revised price list: –

As is clear from the above tables, the Toyota Glanza now ranges between Rs 6.99 lakh and Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). While the base price of the car increased by Rs 9,000, the price of the top-spec V variant remains unchanged. On the other hand, the S and G variants have undergone a price hike of Rs 12,000 and Rs 8,000, respectively.

Aside from the price revision, the Toyota Glanza remains the same.

Toyota Glanza: Key Features

Being a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the Toyota Glanza retains all the features of its Maruti counterpart. The key highlights include automatic LED projector headlamps, diamond-cut alloy wheels, UV-cut glasses in windows & windshield, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, cruise control, height-adjustable driver’s seat, coloured MID, front armrest, auto-dimming IRVM, push button start/stop, auto AC, rear AC vents, a heads-up display (HUD), coloured MID, and much more.

For passengers’ safety, it gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, traction control, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera.

Engine Details

Powering the Glanza is a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, Dual-Jet, Dual-VVT petrol engine (90PS.113Nm), paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT unit. Its manual version can also be had with a factory-fitted CNG kit, which produces a reduced power output of 77.5 PS and 98.5Nm.

Competition Check

The Toyota Glanza faces competition from the likes of Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20 and Maruti Baleno.
