Sales figures for June 2026 are out, and Tata Punch & Nexon have dethroned the long-dominant Maruti Dzire for the top spots. In a surprising move, the Hyundai Creta also slipped out of the top 10 list last month. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the top 10 best-selling cars for June 2026: –

- Save for the Tata Punch, all models in the top 10 list witnessed a decline in June sales compared to May 2026. In contrast, all models registered positive growth on a year-on-year basis, with the Tata Punch being the only model witnessing triple-digit growth.
- The Tata Punch range became the most-selling car of June 2026. It was the model last month to cross the 20K sales mark.
- The Nexon grabbed the 2nd spot on the list with 58% YoY growth.

- With approximately 27% decline in sales compared to May 2026, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire slipped from the top spot to third position. For those unaware, the sub-4m sedan had been consistently topping the sales charts over the past few months.
- The Maruti Suzuki WagonR secured fourth position, while the Ertiga, in fifth, continues to be India’s highest-selling MPV.
- Maruti Suzuki Swift outperformed its Nexa siblings, Baleno and Fronx, to obtain 6th position on the list.
- The only Mahindra model made to the list was the Scorpio range, securing 7th position.
- The Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Baleno witnessed the sharpest month-over-month sales declines, slipping from the top positions to the bottom. Below them was only the Hyundai Venue, which had outbid the Hyundai Creta in June 2026.
