Tata Motors has been on the constant rise for the last couple of years. Its passenger vehicle (PV) division recorded 43,341 units of sales in May 2022 against 15,181 units in the same month last year. That’s a whopping year-on-year (YoY) increase of 185 percent.

As the above table indicates, Tata Motors delivered 39,887 ICE-powered vehicles in May 2022, witnessing a massive YoY growth of 171 percent. However, the growth was minimal in terms of MoM figures. But in the electric vehicles (EVs) space, Tata records the most impressive sales figures. Its annual EV sales increased by 626 percent. Overall sales for May 2022 were up by 185 percent when compared to May 2021.
Currently, Tata Motors has seven models in its Indian portfolio. These include five ICE-powered models (Tiago, Tigor, Nexon, Harrier, and Safari) and two EVs (Tigor EV and Nexon EV). The brand has recently launched the long-range version of the Nexon EV with the ‘MAX’ suffix in India which is claimed to offer a range of 437 kilometers on a single charge.
