Skoda's upcoming mid-size sedan, the Slavia is all set to be unveiled on November 18. But ahead of its global premiere, the carmaker has now shared its first official teaser sketches. It will be the brand's second model under its INDIA 2.0 strategy.

From the looks of it, the new Slavia seems like a fascinating premium sedan, featuring a cleaner silhouette with a bold butterfly front grille and sharp LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lamps on each side. It has a sloping roofline that smoothly merges into the boot lid. Unlike its testing mules and prototype version, the Slavia could feature silver-coloured V-spoke alloy wheels.
At the back, the Slavia features Skoda's signature C-shaped LED taillamps with the 'SKODA' lettering in the centre. It will share its underpinnings with the Skoda Kushaq.
The interior of the car is yet to be revealed, but the earlier spy shorts have exposed that it will share lots of design cues with its younger SUV sibling. Features onboard should include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, connected car technology, digital driver's display, 3-spoke steering wheel, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, cruise control, a premium sound system, single-pane electric sunroof, wireless smartphone charger, up to 6-airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, and much more.
Moving to the mechanical specs, it has already been confirmed that the upcoming Skoda Slavia will get two turbocharged petrol engines: a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI petrol and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder TSI petrol with Active Cylinder Technology, which turns off the two of four cylinders in low load conditions to ensure optimum fuel efficiency. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual unit as standard along with an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic and a 7-speed DSG for 1.0L and 1.5L motors, respectively.
Skoda will launch the Slavia in early 2022. It is likely to be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom) and will take on the likes of the Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, and the upcoming Toyota Belta and Volkswagen Vento's successor model.
The unveiling of Skoda Slavia is around the corner, so stay tuned with us for all the updates.
