2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio Pre-Launch Bookings Commenced Officially

Bookings for the next-generation Maruti Suzuki Celerio have been commenced officially for a token amount of Rs 11,000. It is expected to be launched on November 10.

Maruti has revealed that the new Celerio will come with Swift's 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine, featuring the Idle Start-Stop function that will make it India's most efficient petrol car. While the brand is yet to reveal its engine output, it will be paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). Besides, it could continue to get its existing 68PS 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine along with an optional factory-fitted CNG kit.

Expected to be based on Maruti's fifth-generation Heartact platform as the WagonR, the new Maruti Celerio will be longer and wider than the current model. It is likely to get 313-liters of boot space, which is 78-litres more than the ongoing model.

Our source has suggested that Maruti will offer the new Celerio in four broad trims: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. The last three variants will get an optional AMT unit.
