Skoda Auto has recorded its best ever sales performance in the last eight months. The Czech automaker has sold 37,568 cars & SUVs from January to August 2022, which is even higher than the brand’s total sales in 2021 in India. With this, India has become the third largest marketplace for Skoda in terms of sales after Germany and the Czech Republic. Skoda’s India 2.0 offerings, the Kushaq and Slavia, which have been massively successful, have certainly contributed to this huge sales surge.
Speaking about the sales in the month of August 2022, Skoda sold 4,222 cars in India, marking a Year-On-Year (Yo) growth of over 320 percent when compared to the same period a year ago (1,003 units). However, the sales declined by around 5 percent against July 2022 (4,447 units).
