Skoda India has announced that its recently launched Kushaq compact SUV has clocked nearly 6,000 bookings since its market arrival on June 28, 2021. With this, the Kushaq's waiting time is now up to two months in most cities. More importantly, each customer has been allotted a fixed delivery date, which is a commendable move by the Czech maker, while other carmakers only tell you the tentative delivery timeline.
Currently, the brand is only delivering its 1.0-litre TSI variants to customers, whereas the distributions of the more powerful 1.5-litre trims will start from August 11.
There is no doubt that the Kushaq has proved to be the trump card for Skoda. With its launch, Skoda's sales have received a noble 320 per cent growth in July 2021 when compared to June month. The brand has sold a total of 3,080 units in July compared to 734 units in June. The growth is 234 percent in YoY figures.
Riding on the success of Skoda Kushaq, the brand is also expanding its footprints in India with an aim to have 225 sales and service centers across the country by 2022. Besides, the brand has also introduced its ‘Peace of Mind’ campaign to enhance the ownership experience.
About Skoda Kushaq
As mentioned above, the Skoda Kushaq comes with two engine options, across three trims: Active, Ambition, and Style. However, the 1.5-litre TSI unit is restricted to the top-spec Style variant only. The brand will also introduce a top-of-the-line Monte Carlo edition of the Kushaq in the near future, which is also expected to be restricted with the bigger capacity motor only.
