Royal Enfield Meteor 350 To Get A New Variant

Royal Enfield is reportedly to expand the variant lineup of the Meteor 350 by launching a new & more cruising-oriented variant in the coming weeks. Currently, the RE Meteor 350 comes in three trim levels: Fireball, Stellar, and Supernova. Color options and accessories are the key differences between these models.

If reports are to be believed, the upcoming variant of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is likely to borrow its traits from the now-discontiued Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X. That said, it is expected to get a fatter 18-inch alloy wheel up front instead of the ongoing 19-inch unit. It could also receive a flatter handlebar for a more aggressive stance, blacked-out powertrain & underpinnings, and a single-piece seat instead of the split-seat setup. New color schemes with updated graphics could also be on the card.

No other changes are expected on the new variant of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. It will continue to be powered by the same 349cc J-series, air-cooled engine as the existing model that delivers 20.4PS of maximum power and 27Nm of peak torque. The underpinnings will also likely remain unchanged with a 41mm telescopic suspension at the front and twin shocks at the rear. On the other hand, braking duties will continue to be handled by 300mm front and 270mm rear discs, assisted by a dual-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS).
