2023 Lexus RX (5th-Gen) SUV Unveiled Globally

Toyota’s luxury division, Lexus, has finally unveiled the 5th-gen RX crossover SUV globally with a fresh & bolder design, plenty of new features, and a wide range of powertrains that are in line with the brand’s ‘Lexus Electrified’ vision. It is expected to go on sale by the end of 2022 in the global market.

2023 Lexus RX – What’s New?

More Sportier Design: – The 2023 Lexus RX looks more aggressive than its previous model. Upfront, the crossover features the brand’s new and more prominent-looking spindle grille design blending well with the muscular sculpted bonnet. Its range-topping trim, on the other hand, gets a mesh pattern with a woven design. The other notable design highlights of the new RX include massive air dams, sloping rooflines, and full-width LED taillamps, etc.

Updated platform: – Lexus has underpinned the new RX on a modified version of the GA-K platform, which also underpins the EX, NX, and many other Toyota models. The new platform helps in lowering the center of gravity by 15 mm, along with a weight reduction by up to 198 pounds than the outgoing generation.

Interior and Key Features: – An all-new dashboard design wrapped in stealthier-looking black color will greet you inside the cabin with plenty of dark chrome inserts. The center infotainment system, which is offered in two sizes: 9.8- and 14-inch, is the major attraction point. The other feature highlights of the new RX comprise a panoramic roof, a digital driver display, triple-zone climate control, heated steering wheel, powered, heated, and cooled seats, surround-view monitor, a head-up display (HUD), a memory seat, a trip computer, optional Advanced Park system and as many as six upholstery choices to choose from: Peppercorn, Macadamia, Palomino, Black, Rioja Red, and Birch. Also, there are four ornamentation styles on offer (depending on the variant): Dark Graphite Aluminum, Black Open Pore, Black Cascade, and Ash Bamboo.
