Ola Roadster X To Launch On This Date

In August last year, Ola Electric unveiled the Roadster series of motorcycles in concept form. Now, the brand is all set to launch the first model from the series, the Roadster X, on February 5, 2025. Bookings for the bike are already underway for Rs 999, while deliveries are expected to start in mid-February 2025.

  • The Ola Roadster X will be offered with three battery pack choices: 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh, priced at Rs 74,999, Rs 84,999 and Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom), respectively.
  • In terms of performance, the top speed varies across the variants, with the 2.5kWh model reaching 105kmph, the 3.5kWh version achieving 117kmph, and the 4.5kWh variant topping out at 124kmph.
  • The claimed range also differs, offering 117km for the base model, 159km for the mid-spec variant, and 200km for the highest-spec version.

Author’s Take

We expect Ola to maintain the promised pricing of the Roadster X and deliver on its claims. In the past, the brand has stroggled to meet its commitments, with frequent delays in launches. Initially, the Roadster X was supposed to be available for viewing at Ola’s experience centers within two months of its unveiling, but that deadline was missed. This time, Ola must ensure it honors its commitments while also improving service quality and the overall after-sales experience.
