Ola Electric has launched its first charging station in Bengaluru, which the brand calls Hypercharger. With this, customers will be able to charge their Ola electric scooter from 0-50% in just 18 minutes. The company has plans to install over 1 lakh charging stations locations across 400 cities in India. In fact, over 5,000 chargers will be installed in 100 cities in the first year itself.
For those who aren't aware, Ola electric has launched S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters on 15th August 2021. While the former comes with a 2.98kWh battery pack offering a range of 121 kilometers in a full charge, the latter utilises a 3.97kWh battery that offers 181 kilometers of range. The purchase window for the Ola scooters has been closed for now. However, you can still book a unit for Rs 499. Customers who have already reserved the e-scooter will get a second chance to buy it from November 1, 2021. The delivery timeline of the Ola scooters is yet to be revealed.
Currently, the Ola S1 is priced at Rs 99,999, while its top-spec S1 Pro variant will set you back by Rs 1,29,999 (both price ex-showroom, excluding the FAME 2 subsidy). However, if you belong from Gujarat, Delhi, Maharashtra, or Rajasthan, then it will cost you even more cheaper.
