Nissan India has teased the X-Trail SUV once again, confirming several exciting features. The company will bring the X-Trail nameplate to India after a decade. It is expected to be offered as a fully imported unit.
Nissan X-Trail Interior – What To Expect?
- The teaser offers a glimpse of its interior, confirming the Nissan X-Trail will feature an all-black theme, with two-tone seat upholstery.
- The SUV will be offered in a 7-seater version, with a bench seat in the 2nd row.
- It will benefit from features like a dual-pane sunroof, dual-zone climate control, floating touchscreen infotainment, wireless smartphone charger, digital instrument cluster, push-button start, a split-type opening armrest with storage, leatherette three-spoke steering, cruise control, multiple driving modes, and electronic parking brakes with auto-hold function.
- The SUV is also expected to get a premium BOSE sound system, heads-up display, heated & powered front seats with memory function, and ProPILOT assist with Navi-link (ADAS suite).

Propulsion Duties
While Nissan is yet to confirm its specifications, its global-spec version comes with a 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine available in two self-charging hybrid configurations. Paired with a CVT automatic transmission, it is offered in both 2WD and 4WD versions. The variant with a front-mounted e-motor delivers 204PS of maximum power and 330Nm of peak torque. In the 4WD version featuring Nissan’s e4 CORE system, the SUV achieves slightly higher outputs of 213PS and 495Nm. It boasts a top speed of 200 kmph.
Expected Price and Rivals
Nissan is expected to price the X-Trail around Rs 40-45 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, MG Gloster, Isuzu muX and the segment-leader Toyota Fortuner.
