Nissan India is preparing to launch the X-Trail SUV in the coming weeks. The Japanese carmaker has released yet another teaser of this upcoming full-size SUV, which is set to compete with the Toyota Fortuner.

About Nissan X-Trail
For those unaware, the Nissan X-Trail is already available for sale in the global markets. It is known for its versatility and advanced features. From urban commutes to off-road adventures, it is designed to cater to a variety of driving needs.
Globally, the Nissan X-Trail is offered in two seating configurations – five and seven.
Nissan offers the X-Trail with a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine, offered with two self-charging hybrid systems. Paired with a CVT automatic gearbox, it comes in both 2WD and 4WD guise. The unit with front-mounted e-motor pumps out 204PS of max power and 330Nm of peak torque. In the 4WD guise, which comes with the brand’s e4 CORE system, the SUV makes slightly more power output of 213PS and a peak torque of 495Nm. It has a top speed of 200 kmph.

Expected Price and Competitors
The new Nissan X-Trail is expected to be priced from around Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the SUV will go up against the MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian and the segment-leader Toyota Fortuner.
