Nissan Records 1 Lakh+ Bookings For Magnite; Sales Up By 100 Percent

During the announcement of last month’s sales figures, Japanese automaker Nissan revealed that it received over 1 lakh bookings for its Magnite sub-4m SUV in Domestic and Export markets since its launch in December 2020. Recently, the brand has also rolled out the 50,000th production unit of the Magnite from its Chennai plant.

This immense popularity for the Nissan Magnite has contributed to 100 percent year-on-year growth (with 37678 units) for FY21 in the domestic market and a 20 percent annual raise (with 38988 units) in exports. For reference, Nissan currently exports the Magnite in South Africa, Indonesia, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Uganda, Kenya, Seychelles, Mozambique, Zambia, Mauritius, Tanzania, and Malawi.

Talking about the sales figures for March 2022, the brand recorded a wholesale of 3007 units against 4012 vehicles sold in the same period last year, a decline of 25 percent. However, the MoM sales grew by around 22 percent.

Commenting on Nissan India’s wholesale performance, Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Ltd said
