Nissan Gravite 7 Seater MPV Launched At Rs 5.65 Lakh

Nissan India has launched its first sub-4m MPV, the Gravite, in India at a starting price of Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom). It is essentially a rebadged version of the Renault Triber. Bookings for the Gravite are now open, while deliveries are expected to begin from March 2026.

Nissan Gravite: Design

The Nissan Gravite has an identical silhouette to the Renault MPV. However, the front and rear styling is totally different from its donor model. That said, the Gravite features a honeycomb-pattern grille flanked by sleek LED DRLs that are further connected by a chrome strip. It also features a prominent “GRAVITE” lettering on the lower section of the bonnet, while the C-shaped silver surrounds the fog lamps give it a rugged appearance.

While the side profile of the Nissan Gravite is identical to the Renault Triber, a new set of dual-tone alloy wheels differentiates itself.

Towards the rear, the Gravite sports wraparound LED tail lamps connected by a chrome trip. And similar to the front, the rear also features GRAVITE lettering and C-shaped silver surrounds on the bumper.

Interior and Features

The interior layout of the Nissan Gravite is similar to the Renault Triber, though the colour scheme and trim appliques are unique. In terms of features, it comes equipped with the following key features: –

  • Automatic LED headlamps
  • Rain-sensing wipers
  • An 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • A 7-inch digital driver’s display
  • Rear vents
  • Steering-mounted controls

  • Removable 3rd row seats
  • Keyless entry with push-button start
  • Cruise control
  • Wireless phone charger
  • 6 airbags
  • ABS with EBD
  • Electronic stability control (ESC)
  • Tyre-pressure monitoring system

What Powers The Nissan Gravite?

Underneath the hood of the Nissan Gravite is the Triber’s 1.0-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine (72PS/96Nm), which can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. Nissan claims the Gravite petrol-MT can return a fuel efficiency of 19.3 kmpl, while in AMT guise, it can deliver 19.6 kmpl.

A dealer-fit dual-cylinder CNG kit option will also be introduced, albeit in manual guise.

Warranty Details

Nissan will offer the Gravite with a standard warranty of 3 years or 1,00,000 km, which can be extended up to a segment-leading 10 years or 5,00,000 km. Additionally, the first 5,000 customers will benefit from zero service costs for the initial five years, along with exclusive finance and upgrade offers.

Competition Check

The Nissan Gravite will be pitted against its dono model, Renault Triber, while serving as an affordable alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, XL6, and Kia Carens.
