Nissan finally shed some light on its upcoming Creta-rivalling mid-size SUV. The Japanese carmaker has revealed a glimpse of what it will look like and confirmed that it will be called “Tekton”. It will be manufactured at the Renault-Nissan Alliance plant in Chennai for both domestic and select export markets.
Nissan Tekton: Patrol-inspired Design
The upcoming Nissan Tekton looks bold and aggressive, taking design inspiration from Nissan’s flagship Patrol SUV, featuring an upright stance and imposing front grille with connected LED DRLs covering the width of the SUV. Its sculpted hood features bold “TEKTON” lettering for added appeal. The front bumper looks muscular, carrying chunky skid plates.

From the sides, the Tekton has a typical SUV silhouette. It features roof rails and muscular wheel arches filled with dual-tone alloy wheels. Interestingly, the rear door handles are neatly hidden, adding a cleaner look to the sides. Nissan also mentions that the trim on the front door draws design inspiration from the Himalayas.
The rear of this Nissan C-SUV again evokes the Patrol, featuring C-shaped connected LED tail lights and a chunkier dual-tone bumper, giving it a rugged appearance.

Nissan Tekton Interior and Features
Nissan hasn’t revealed much of the interior design, but has only shown a sneak peek of the dashboard, which has a multi-layered design with gloss-black accents and a copper trim that runs across its width.
In terms of features, it should get a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, a digital instrument cluster, a powered driver seat, a wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera. Its safety kit is likely to include six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), and level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
