The launch of the MG Gloster BlackStorm Edition has finally taken place. Additionally, the brand has taken this opportunity to introduce new 8-seater variants of the standard Gloster, discontinuing the 6-seater standard trims. The 6-seater trim is now limited to the new BlackStorm Edition.

- Apart from introducing the new BlackStrom and 8-seater variants, the MG Gloster remains unchanged.
- As mentioned above, MG offers the Gloster with a 2.0-litre turbo diesel (163PS/375Nm) and a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine (218PS/480Nm), both mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
- The turbo diesel mill gets a rear-wheel drive (RWD) configuration; the latter comes with a 4-wheel drivetrain (4WD).
- In the Indian market, Gloster faces competition from the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, Isuzu muX, and petrol-only Skoda Kodiaq.
