MG Astor Prices Increased By Up To Rs 19,000

MG India has revised the prices of the Creta-rivalling Astor SUV by up to Rs 19,000. Interestingly, its electric derivative, the ZS EV, underwent a price cut of up to Rs 6.14 lakh last month.

MG Astor: Revised Price List

  • Depending on the variant, the prices of the MG Astor have increased by up to Rs 19,000.
  • The base-spec Sprint 1.5 manual and Select 1.5 manual variants have become dearer by Rs 18,000 each.
  • The prices of the Shine 1.5 manual and Sharp Pro 1.5 manual variants have increased by Rs 19,000 and Rs 13,000, respectively.
  • All the CVT-equipped versions of the above-mentioned trims have received a uniform price hike of Rs 15,000.
  • The rest of the variants have undergone a price hike of Rs 17,000 each.
  • With this, the MG Astor now ranges between Rs 11.48 lakh and Rs 17.72 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG Astor: Features Onboard

Aside from the price revision, the MG Astor remains unchanged. It continues to come kitted with amenities like automatic LED projector headlamps, 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, front fog lamps with cornering function, heated side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, power steering modes (Normal, Urban and Dynamic), leather wrapped dashboard and steering wheel, auto-dimming IRVM, 6-way powered driver’s seat, PM2.5 filter, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, auto AC, rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, digital instrument cluster, digital bluetooth key support, panoramic sunroof, and much more.

For passengers’ protection, its safety kit includes ABS with EBD, hill hold & descent assist, 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, electric parking brakes with auto-hold, ISOFIX anchors, ESP, traction control, six airbags, and level-2 ADAS.

MG Astor: Powertrain

Powering the MG Astor is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 110PS of max power and 144Nm of peak torque. It can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.

The Astor locks horns with the Honda Elevate, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and Hyundai Creta.
