MG Cyberster Hits Indian Roads: Know What Makes It Special

Days after launching the M9 luxury MPV, MG has now launched the Cyberster electric roadster in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 74.99 lakh (Rs 72.49 lakh for those who have pre-booked the car). It will be the brand’s second car that will be sold through the brand’s MG Select dealerships. Its deliveries will start from August 10, 2025.

MG Cyberster: An Attention Magnet

The MG Cyberster is a real head-turner with its sporty, low-slung look and bold design. It has a long, sleek bonnet, sharp LED headlights, and stylish 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The scissor doors and convertible roof make it look super cool, just like some high-end sports cars.

At the back, the arrow-shaped LED tail lights give it a modern and futuristic touch. Overall, it’s a car that stands out wherever it goes.

MG has offered it in four colour options: Nuclear Yellow with black roof, Flare Red with black roof, Andes Grey with red roof and Modern Beige with red roof.

Cockpit-Inspired Interior

The MG Cyberster gets a sporty, cockpit-style interior designed to make you feel like you’re in a high-performance machine. The cabin wraps around the driver with a curved triple-screen setup that includes the instrument cluster, infotainment, and a passenger-side display — all blending seamlessly into the dashboard. The flat-bottom steering wheel adds to the sporty vibe, while red inserts and contrast stitching give it a bold, premium look.

Key features include: –

  • All-digital triple-screen dashboard
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control
  • 6-way powered driver’s seat with memory function
  • Heated and ventilated seats
  • Premium 8-speaker BOSE sound system
  • Four airbags
  • TPMS
  • ECS
  • Traction Control
  • Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)

Built For Thrills

The Cyberster is MG’s fastest car, capable of completing the century sprint in just 3.2 seconds before attaining an electronically limited top speed of 200 kmph — all thanks to its powerful dual-motor setup producing 544PS and 725Nm. It comes with a 77kWh battery pack and a claimed range of 580 km (MIDC claimed).

Competition Check

The MG Cyberster has no direct rival in the country.

Author’s Take

The MG Cyberster is undoubtedly a bold step for MG in India — a market that hasn’t seen an affordable electric roadster with supercar-like styling before. It’s stylish, powerful, and packed with futuristic elements, all of which make it a true head-turner. The scissor doors, convertible roof, and sharp LED lighting give it the kind of presence that makes even luxury cars take a second look.

It brings a mix of drama and speed that can spark excitement among younger, EV-enthusiastic buyers. While it may not be a purist’s first choice for track days, it certainly makes for an exciting lifestyle vehicle for those looking to stand out.
